BREEAM In-Use (BIU) is a comprehensive and holistic environmental assessment method that can be used for almost any type of building, including commercial and residential assets, across the world.

Since its creation in 2009, BREEAM In-Use has been used by thousands of assets in over 30 countries to benchmark, improve and certify their sustainability performance and to showcase high standards of ESG.

BIU Version 6 offers the latest in environmental standards with tailored approaches for both commercial and residential assets These approaches create, protect and grow asset value by encouraging investment in the asset’s performance.

As part of the BIU V6 offering, an online platform is provided to allow Clients (asset owners and managers) to assess the performance of their assets, measure how they perform against BREEAM criteria and submit their evidence for certification via an Assessor. This platform user guide will help Clients to familiarize themselves with the platform and understand its features.
