Revit MEP - Building Services

Autodesk’s Revit MEP is a BIM software that support engineering workflows for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems. It allows engineers to create, analyse, and document MEP systems within a building project, enabling better project collaboration as well as coordination with architectural and structural elements.

Developed by White Frog’s team of BIM software experts, the Revit MEP – Building Services course explains the fundamentals of the tool in the context of BIM, market best practices, and current standards. It covers the software’s key features and functionality, providing an interactive walkthrough the user interface.

Designed for new users of the software, this online course introduces building elements and the principles of family editing. It also provides insights into geometry formation and in-place families, spaces, zones, areas and volumes, and 2D draughting and annotation.

After completing this course, learners will be able to:

• Understand building information modelling (BIM)
• Describe the relevance and application of Revit within the BIM workflow
• Demonstrate the skills and knowledge to work with building services components and systems, following international best practice protocols to efficiently create 3D models as a basis for drawings, schedules and analysis applications
