What do you think makes BRE Academy training different?

BRE Academy stands out because our training is built on a foundation of world leading research, technical expertise, and real world application. We don’t just teach theory, we use our experience of what actually works in practice. Our courses are developed in collaboration with industry specialists and aligned with the latest standards,

What truly sets us apart is that BRE Academy training is our consultant style approach, based on real life industry experience, giving learners skills they can use immediately in their roles.

What advice would you give to organisations or individuals looking to upskill?

My biggest piece of advice is to start with clarity and work towards competence: understand what skills you need to develop and why.

Focus on:

• Foundational knowledge first, then build specialist skills.

• Standards-based training, which helps ensure consistency and quality.

• Hands-on application, because capability comes from doing, not just learning.

• Continuous development, as digital processes and regulations evolve quickly.

Where is your favourite place and why?

My favourite place is South East Asia. There’s something about being there that brings together adventure, culture, and a real sense of grounding. The mix of landscapes, people, and experiences always reminds me of the value of stepping outside my comfort zone. It’s a place that energises me creatively and personally, while also giving me space to reset and reflect.

What do you love about your role at BRE Academy?

What I enjoy most is the opportunity to train and empower people. Helping learners understand complex digital processes, watching their confidence grow, and seeing them apply that knowledge in the real world is genuinely rewarding.

I also love being part of a team that’s passionate about improving the built environment. At BRE Academy, we’re not just delivering training, we’re supporting the future of the industry. Being able to contribute to that mission and driving the visibility of BIM is something I’m deeply proud of.
