What does the exam qualify me in?
This exam will upgrade your current UK BREEAM assessor qualification to include the following building types: Retail, Offices, Industrial, Healthcare and Education, Multi-Residential and BREEAM Other Buildings. To become licensed, assessors are required to hold professional indemnity insurance.
This is for UK assessments only.
This scheme uses calculation tools which run in MS Excel with macros. Macintosh computers are unable to use this function and you will need access to a PC to complete assessments.
What is the format of the exam?
The exam consists of multiple choice questions. The duration is 120 minutes.
Please be aware that this qualification no longer requires completion of a test assessment and as such the examination is much more stringent than any previous BREEAM exam you will have undertaken.
Please allow enough time between booking this examination and the examination date to be able to complete the preparation material which will be supplied to you once you have booked.
On successful completion of the course and the examinations you will be issued with notification that verifies your BREEAM Assessor qualification. You will then be required to apply to BRE Global Ltd to become a Licenced BREEAM Assessor under the Scheme in order to practice. You must make this application within 12 months of completing the course.
To practice as a licenced BREEAM Assessor you will be required to pay an annual licence fee and hold adequate levels of professional insurance, particularly professional indemnity insurance. Further information on the route to becoming a licenced BREEAM Assessor can be found at www.breeam.com
This top-up examination is only available to existing licensed BREEAM assessors (except BREEAM In Use).
