Description

The role ‘Sustainability Champion’ was introduced into BREEAM schemes to ensure project teams could turn to someone with ‘scheme-related’ expertise during the decision-making process. This would assist with maximising a buildings performance and achieve the BREEAM target rating in the most cost-effective way. The training and subscription schemes currently recognised under the term ‘BREEAM Sustainability Champion’ include ‘BREEAM Approved Professional’ and ‘BRE Site Sustainability Manager’.

Preparation for the transition from Sustainability Champion role to Advisory Professional role has been underway from some time. We held the first informational webinar on this during July 2017. This webinar included details of the transition of each subscription scheme, the Advisory Professional competencies, the qualification process and the CPD requirements. You can access this webinar here.

Our BREEAM AP Scheme Update webinar provides an update on the transition arrangements for the role, associated milestones and dates and logo and other relevant information. This webinar will consist of:

  • An update on the changes to the role
  • Clarity of the CPD requirements of the Advisory Professional role
  • An indication of the implementation/transition timescale
  • Q&A session
